Homecoming 2005 was fun! I had a great time with some very cool people. Lots to do these days, but a quick update :)

Happy birthday to Vince yesterday!

Wow, school and running have really devoured my life. Senior year is exciting and hard at the same time; there are college applications and the end of a high-school career looming, and haaaaaaard classes. I thought junior year was hard, but this year isn't any better. I can get through it! I know I can!

Cross country has been amazing. I've met so many GREAT people who I never would have gotten to know otherwise. I really feel accomplished during our workouts--runner's high is real, you all!

The only downside is that I have so little time to get all of the things I need to get done done. Sleep is really precious these days, as well as the time I spend with my family, friends, and my dearest Vince.

Vince, you help keep me sane with your amazing voicemail messages; I'm always looking forward to hearing your voice, and to hear about your GMU and work stories. Although we don't get to see each other nearly as much, I still think about you all of the time. Love you.

I just wanted to update really quickly. Maybe I'll go into detail about ALL of the stuff I've been going through (a lot has happened!). BUSY is the buzz word of the next couple of months.

LOVE! =)

P.S. I saw Kim Hogan today, off on her Fall Break. SHE IS SO FREAKING AWESOME.

Well, I don't update as much anymore but I did change the site around a bit.

I just got home tonight from a 2-day trip to North Carolina to visit Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. It was a good experience, in that I learned what I like and what I don't like in a college. I really liked Duke...it was so beautiful and the atmosphere seems so fun. Very well-rounded. Their athletics are really awesome; their students are diverse, and everyone is very smart. I think I like it there. A lot. 3 college visits down, yet there are still more to go! Gosh.. the college application process.. how nifty. Yea.

Recently I had my first massage and facial at the spa. Thanks to all of my friends who chipped in on that for my birthday! It was a really cool experience!! Some good quality time with my momma...

Last weekend one of the loves of my life, Bridget Buehrle came to visit me. She took the train into the Franconia-Springfield station (who knew that there was a train station there??? Well, Vince and I apparently know now, after waiting for the phantom train, which I thought would come out of a column Harry-Potter style) from Williamsburg. For those of you who don't know, she was my roommate at Governor's school. We spent 3 weeks straight together, and we never had a problem. She is so cool! Well, we spent time with some other Academy people (we ate at Potbelly's and watched Deuce Bigalow 2--what a gross movie!!!) and I introduced her to a lot of Asian food. We also ran to Huntsman and back, walked on the other side of the Parkway and back, went bowling, played bball, and I got to show her my awesome church on Sunday. It was quite sad when she had to leave. I hate goodbyes.

What else have a done? Good gosh... I've done a lot of summer homework, although I still have to finish MacBeth and read Much Ado About Nothing and finish my Spanish homework...but I've got a good chunk done. Can you all believe it? It's my last year of high school summer homework. Crazy. We are going to be seniors... and I'll be walking on some campus next summer and calling it my new home...

We are going through so many changes everyday... it's so amazing to see how things are now and how they were before. I seem to think about this a lot, but I can't help wondering what if such and such never happened or what if I ended up doing whatever.. who would I have become and where would I have ended up?

Well, enough of the philosophy stuff. I must bore a lot of you, huh? At least the ones that get this far.

I put this new song up because it reminds me of one of my amazing cousins in California, Allison! The pictures to the right are a few from various events in the past... 2 different trips to California, school, Governor's Academy, Prom, Grandma's house, parties, etc.

Well, I hope that those of you that are going on to college for the first time are getting situated there fine. I wish the best of luck to you, and--of course--I'll miss you! Tell me how you all are once in a while! (and Sarah Chu needs to call me back before she goes to Boston)

Mr. Vince also wanted me to add a little something about how much I miss him... hehe what a cutie! Okay, so hey you guys I really miss Vince and I wish he would make me a daffodil or rhinoceros or something out of paper maché and spray it with some cologne for old times' sake. He's really crafty like that. Aww... I always love to think about all of the memories we've had. Teehee.

Okay. I'm tired now. Goodnight to all who loved me enough to read what I had to say (don't feel pressure to read it all, I only expect maybe 1.358 people to apply to that statement).

Today is Friday, August 5. Whoa. Time reallllllllllllly flies. Pretty soon we'll be going back to the whole school/work/whatever you may do thing again...

After Governor's School I went to California for a couple of days to visit my family. They are so super awesome! Goshhhhhhh we are so amazing... I really liked hanging out with all of my incredible cousins... Allison, Tina, Matt, Harrison, Crystal, Kelvin, Bryan, Teyler, Ethan, Stephen, Michael, Elias, Eliana (the two E's! cute twin newborns), Samuel... We had good times EATING, making hemp and bead jewelry, going to the beach, riding in the car, watching Teyler in her ice skating lesson, getting fake money at Huntington Beach, going to craft stores, going to the Block, falling asleep, eating Carl's Jr. crisp cut fries, looking at WeinerschnitzelsJackintheBoxInnOut, running (USC campus, Samuel's  school track, Teyler's neighborhood--oh Teyler's scooter and Bryan's Spongebob pajamas, haha), doing ab workouts! I think some of my most memorable moments will have to be running every morning with my cousins... it's so funny and nostalgic to think about.

Every visit I try to relish the time I get to spend with every one of them. It was too bad that some people were busy/occupied with work to the point where they couldn't spend a lot of time with the Virginians..and too bad my brother, Vin, couldn't come (due to work) but I really loved seeing everyone. Especially.. GRANDMA! I love my grandmas...one on each coast!

Thanks especially to Allison and Tina who stuck with me everyday... you two are suuuuuuuuuuuuuper suuuuuuuuuuuuuper awesome! Thanks for the CDs, bakery food, ché (man we tore that dessert place up!), hospitality, LOVE!

Well eventually the weekend came to an end and I had to board a plane back to the East Coast. I missed CA, but I also missed home. I hadn't had time to absorb the feeling of "home" for a looong time, so I was anxious either way.

I've spent some quality time with friends and family. It's nice to come back to a warm home, realizing how much you've missed the simplest things. Now I don't have to wear sandals in the shower, everything is clean, I can sleep when I want to, I can use the phone, I can hug whoever I may want to.. how SWEET. That was the taste of college life, and being without the people who just seemed to have total permanence in my daily routine. It all made me really appreciate what I have and who is in my life.

I've seen a couple of movies (home + theater), had a couple of breakfast dates, had a couple of dinners, SGA Camp, and... I can't remember what else, but it's been fun.

Last night I saw Debby for the first time this summer and we went to see the Jesse McCartney Concert. WE MET HIM! Debby has some weird uncanny luck for winning tickets off the radio, so we got free tickets and free meet and greets. It was cool accompanying you, Miss Lee. Thanks for taking me along.

well, lots of fun times... now im off to va beach for the weekend with my brother, sharon, khuong, and some others! until later~

-love you vince
